Everyone at the club wishes the U18 indoor team all the best of luck and well done for making it to the National finals in Wolvehampton this Sunday.
The road to success! Team Manager Jeremy gives an entusiastic report of the match that qualified them for a place in the finals:
A fearsome second half from Wakefield u18G saw them romp home 13-3 winners over Ben Rhydding. Goals shared equally amongst the team, captain Leah, Jess m, Emma, Laura, Jess C and special mention to Zoe who scored with her first touch. Coach Tayla shuffled her pack and rotated her bench constantly to keep up the pressure and intensity. Thanks to Ben Rhydding who came close in the first half to trail 6-3, but the second half was one way traffic to Wakefield. Special mentions to Charlotte in goal who pulled off a string of fabulous saves, Lucy and a rock-solid Ella in defence, Evelyn and Faith. Moment if the game goes to eve - playing with an injury - who took up a fantastic position on the half way line, as demanded by the umpire and nearly scored as a result. A commanding display from Wakefield - next stop, national finals and everlasting glory. You heard it here first.
