"This weekend the U12 Boys went to GSAL to compete in the EH Cup regional qualifiers. Having not played together in a tournament since November, the boys were ready to go.

We opened up with a competitive match against Leeds Adel which we won 3-0. The second game against Thirsk was an end-to-end battle where the boys showed good resilience to going 1-0 down and then 2-0 to two very good short corners. A game I feel we could have won on a different day.

After this loss, the boys went into a game against Doncaster, who won their last two games, showing strength and team fortitude to win the game 2-0. Our final game was against Slazengers, with two wins behind us we knew a win with a high goal difference could leave us top of the tournament. The boys stepped up to the mark. A dominant performance gave us a 7-1 win and put us top in the group by 1 goal. I want to congratulate all the boys who played and thank all the parents for bringing them along to a successful afternoon."
