At a wet and windy Weetwood, the U10 boys got off their tournament with a one all draw against City of York 2’s. James scored the first goal before they equalised and some lovely midfield link up for William and Arran. The second game was played against Doncaster. It was a competitive game and Wakefield won 2-0 with Alexander and James scoring a goal each and Elliott making a couple of important saves. The third match was against Aire Valley where we had a comfortable 2-0 win and James scored both goals with a lovely 1-2 assist from Richard, a special mention goes to Jonas and Gabryel who made some fantastic tackles throughout the game. The final game lead to our only defeat of the day, a 5-0 loss to Halifax, there was brave defending from Liam and Nikhil. It has been a successful day for the boys with some great teamwork even in the appalling weather. They are a fantastic bunch of lads who I enjoy coaching. Well done U10 boys.
