125 years ago, Wakefield HC was founded in 1899 as Sandal Hockey Club, and moved to its current home at College Grove in 1961, changing our name in the process. Since then, the club has been central to developing hockey in the area and has grown in numbers and in quality. We now boast one of the best hockey facilities in the north of England with 2 Olympic standard water-based astroturfs, have held numerous national and international events and have teams competing in the upper tiers of English club hockey.

To commemorate this significant milestone, we have a special club logo which will be used across our communication platforms. Furthermore, our kit suppliers Y1 have produced a retro style oversized 1/4 zip fleece with this new logo emblazoned on it.
