Worried about missing hockey over the summer break? Not to worry – Wakefield Hockey Club Summer League is back this June and July! The perfect opportunity to socialise with your team in a semi-competitive mini-league, keep up your fitness and hone your skills on the pitch before returning to pre-season training.

Dates:
Mixed League – every Tuesday, starting Tuesday 11th June
Ladies' League – every Wednesday, starting Wednesday 12th June
Men's League – every Thursday, starting Thursday 13th June

To ensure a similar standard across teams as possible and keep games competitive the Men’s and Ladies’ leagues will be aimed at teams playing in Yorkshire Division 1 and below. Where possible and depending on entries, teams will then be split into two mini leagues with others of a similar level. For the mixed league, we expect teams to be of a mixed ability.

How long for: Duration will depend on the number of teams entering but teams usually play a minimum of 6 games over 6 or 7 weeks.

Times: 3 pitch slots each night 7–8, 8–9, 9–10 pm.

Location: Blue pitch, Wakefield Sports Club

Details:
7-a-side, half-pitch matches.
2 x 25-minutes halves.
Maximum squad size of 10 players (7 on pitch, 3 subs).
Mixed teams should have a minimum 3 women on the pitch at any time.
Each team to provide their own umpire (does not have to be qualified).

Cost: £260 per team

Places will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Please pay the full amount as soon as possible to secure your place. Payment details will be provided on registration.
